What's going on at ImageStrat
ImageStrat Pty Ltd enters it's third year
August 15, 2020
We would like to thank all our customers and supporters that have made ImageStrat possible. ImageStrat saw strong growth throughout 2019-2020 despite Covid-19 restrictions. We look forward to working with our clients to help solve their geological problems over the next year. Thanks again.
Geomechanics services launched
April 27, 2020
Image Strat are pleased to announce the launch of new geomechanics services through our partnership with Bill Power (Power Geoscience Pty Ltd).
The new services extend our existing borehole image log analysis of in-situ stress features to provide:
Vertical stress, pore pressure, and fracture gradient
Full geomechanical model including the in-situ stress tensor, pore pressure, and rock strength estimates
Wellbore planning and stability prediction
Critically Stressed Fracture Analysis
Operators can potentially save money by optimising casing shoe positions and drilling mud weights in order to avoid lost time drilling events, optimising well orientations to minimise instability, or optimising production by intersecting the most favourable fracture orientations.

Working partnership formed with Power Geoscience
December 12, 2019
We are pleased to announce that we have formed a working partnership with Power Geoscience to extend the value of in-situ stress data we acquire from borehole images. Power Geoscience specialises in structural geology and geomechanics, including fault zone evolution, fault seal, in-situ stress, and fluid flow in fractured and faulted regions.
WABS 2019 Paper available

At ImageStrat we see the value of multidisciplinary and integrative projects to maximise the value of data. One such collaboration between Buru Energy Ltd, Chemostrat Pty Ltd, and ImageStrat Pty Ltd successfully solved a significant drilling challenge.
